Snowball Open in Review

Thursday, February 10th, 2011

This year was a huge success. We had 480 golfers and over 600 people attending the event. We would like to thank all of you who came and enjoyed our annual Snowball Open event. All the money raised will go back to the community in many forms to benefit the needy.

Special thanks to all the sponsors who had donated prizes, gift certificates, and the sponsors who worked a hole. Without you the attendee’s would not of had so much fun. Thanks.

A big thanks to the city of Long Lake and Orono Public Works who helped out with the Christmas trees and snow plowing. Also, the Cub Scouts Pack 206 did a great job helping as the clean up crew. We would like to personally thank all who had volunteered their time to set up and break down the tents, holes, and all the equipment.

Hopefully we are all still here for the next Snowball Open on Saturday, Jan. 28 2012 (10AM to 4PM).

We look forward to seeing you next year.

Bradley Hansen,

VP Orono Lions

The 24rd Annual Snowball Open is the major fund raiser for the Orono Lions. A fantastic 18 hole gold course is carved on the ice of Long Lake. Each hole has a local sponsor and thanks to our snowball open sponsors we can keep doing our duties! There are hospitality tents stationed at each hole. This event draws over 600 players and spectators!

The Snowball Open is at Nelson Park, 1860 Symes Street, Long Lake, MN 55356. MAP
